The house was unusually quiet that afternoon. Sunlight filtered softly through the curtains, dust particles floating in golden beams as everything seemed to pause for a moment. Mom had stepped out for a while, leaving behind her usual organized space filled with neatly placed items—clothes folded just right, small accessories arranged carefully, and a few personal belongings that she always kept close.
But what Mom didn’t know was that CUTIS and the baby monkey had already begun their little “mission.”
CUTIS stood near the table, his eyes scanning everything with sharp focus. Beside him, the baby monkey watched closely, mimicking every small movement CUTIS made. There was a sense of teamwork in the air—quiet, clever, and just a little bit mischievous.
CUTIS picked up a small item from the table—a bright, colorful accessory Mom often used. He turned it around in his hands, inspecting it like a professional.
“Hmm…” CUTIS seemed to think.
The baby monkey leaned closer, tilting his head. He wasn’t entirely sure what was happening, but he trusted CUTIS completely. Whatever this plan was, it had to be good.
CUTIS then looked toward the door, making sure Mom was still gone. The coast was clear.
He gently tapped the item, then pointed at it, then at the baby monkey, as if explaining something important.

The baby monkey nodded eagerly, even though he didn’t fully understand. He just knew one thing—CUTIS was smart.
CUTIS quickly climbed onto a small chair, holding the item up high. He turned around and posed dramatically, as if presenting something to an audience.
Then suddenly, he jumped down and placed the item on a clean surface, arranging it neatly.
The baby monkey clapped his hands in excitement.
CUTIS had an idea.
A very clever one.
He looked around and grabbed a small box, then placed the item inside. He added a few more small things that Mom had left behind—each carefully chosen, each handled with surprising precision.
Then CUTIS did something unexpected.
He stood up straight, took a deep breath, and began acting like a salesperson.
Yes—an actual salesperson.
He pointed at the box, then made a gesture as if introducing something amazing.
The baby monkey watched, completely fascinated.
CUTIS tapped the box twice, then made a “wow” gesture with his hands, as if to say, “This is something special!”
Then he turned to the baby monkey and handed him one of the smaller items.

The baby monkey held it up proudly, as if he had just been given a treasure.
CUTIS nodded approvingly.
This was their plan.
To “sell” Mom’s things in the most unbelievable way.
CUTIS grabbed another object and started demonstrating its “features” with exaggerated gestures—pretending it was something rare, valuable, and highly desirable.
He pointed at himself, then at the object, then made a “big price” gesture with his fingers.
The baby monkey gasped.
He understood nothing… but he was impressed.
CUTIS then started pacing back and forth, pointing at the box, making excited sounds, and even pretending to negotiate with invisible customers.
It was a full performance.
A business show.
A marketing strategy.
And somehow… it was working.
The baby monkey began copying him—holding up items, showing them off, and making little excited noises as if he were helping advertise the “products.”
CUTIS watched his little assistant with approval.
Together, they looked unstoppable.
CUTIS then placed everything neatly into the box again and closed it carefully.
He looked at the baby monkey and gave a serious nod.
Mission successful.
But just as they were about to celebrate, the front door suddenly creaked.
Both CUTIS and the baby monkey froze.

Slowly… the door opened.
Mom had returned.
CUTIS blinked.
The baby monkey blinked.
They both turned to look at the box.
Then at Mom.
Then back at each other.
“Oh no…” CUTIS seemed to think.
Mom stepped inside, immediately noticing something felt… different.
“Hmm?” she said softly, looking around.
CUTIS and the baby monkey stood very still, trying to act natural.
Too natural.
Mom walked further inside, her eyes scanning the room.
Then she noticed the box.
“Oh? What’s this?”
CUTIS quickly jumped in front of it, spreading his arms wide as if to say, “Nothing to see here!”
But it was too late.
Mom smiled.
A knowing smile.
“CUTIS…” she said gently.
CUTIS scratched his head.
The baby monkey peeked from behind him, holding one of the small items he had forgotten to hide.
Oops.
Mom picked up the item, examined it, and raised an eyebrow.
Then she looked at CUTIS.
Then at the baby monkey.
And finally… she laughed.
A soft, warm laugh.
“So this is your ‘smart sale’?” she said.
CUTIS froze.
Then slowly, he nodded.
Yes.
That was exactly what it was.
Mom shook her head, still smiling. She could see what they had tried to do—organize, present, and even “sell” the items in their own creative way.
It wasn’t quite what she expected.

But it was clever.
Very clever.
The baby monkey, sensing that Mom wasn’t angry, suddenly got excited. He held up another item and showed it to her, making little sounds as if continuing the sales pitch.
CUTIS joined in too.
Before long, the two of them were back to their “business presentation,” showing Mom every item in the box with dramatic gestures and proud expressions.
Mom watched, amused and impressed.
“Well…” she said, crossing her arms playfully. “You two really tried your best.”
CUTIS straightened up, proud.
The baby monkey smiled.
But then Mom gently tapped CUTIS on the head.
“Next time,” she said, “ask first.”
CUTIS nodded immediately.
Lesson learned.
But instead of stopping them, Mom decided to play along.
“Alright,” she said, pretending to be a customer. “Show me what you have.”
CUTIS and the baby monkey exchanged excited looks.
Then together, they launched into their most dramatic, most enthusiastic sales performance yet.
And this time…
Mom was part of the show. 😯✨
